Our Story

Where compassion meets possibility.

Compassion Network began with a belief shared by its founders, Shiva Karan and Gita Kritika Singh that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances or abilities.

Our Roots

Raised on service and generosity.

Born and raised in Fiji, Shiva and Gita grew up in families where service, generosity and helping others were an important part of life. Through their parents, they became aware of the Frank Hilton Organisation and its work long before Compassion Network was established.

Learning more about the challenges faced by children with disabilities and their families strengthened their determination to help. They returned to Australia believing they could use their connections, skills and love of music to bring people together for this cause.

The Journey

From one night of music to a movement.

2022

A visit that changed everything

Although the Frank Hilton Organisation was already familiar to them, a visit in 2022 marked an important turning point. Shiva and Gita visited with a clear intention to better understand its work and explore how they could personally support the children and families it serves. Witnessing the organisation’s remarkable work firsthand strengthened their determination to help.

2023

The first Shivas Regal Project

They gathered a passionate group of musician friends, volunteers and supporters for the first Shivas Regal Project charity concert in Brisbane. From the beginning, they made a clear commitment that every dollar raised through ticket sales and donations would go directly to the Frank Hilton Organisation no event costs deducted.

2024

A lasting home for a movement

What began as one night of music grew into something greater, expanding to Melbourne and Sydney. In 2024, Compassion Network was formally registered as a not for profit organisation, creating a lasting home for a growing community of volunteers, sponsors and supporters united by compassion and service.

Today

Compassion in Action

Today, Compassion Network leads community initiatives including the Shivas Regal Project and Compassion in Action. Through music, fundraising and inclusive community activities, we raise funds, build awareness and create meaningful opportunities for people to contribute.

More than fundraising

“It is about connecting people who want to help with meaningful opportunities to create genuine and lasting change.”

With the generosity of our volunteers, sponsors, performers and supporters, we are helping create brighter futures one act of compassion at a time.
