My son Api has been attending therapy at the Frank Hilton Organisation (FHO) since he was just 7 months old. He began with physiotherapy because, being born at 8 months, his body was extremely stiff, he couldn’t move his muscles freely. Over time, with consistent therapy, I began noticing remarkable improvements in his movements.
When he turned one, he started speech therapy as well. Since then, I’ve seen encouraging progress in his communication. He’s now slowly trying to use words and recently started calling his grandmother “Nanna”, a moment that brought us so much joy.
And then something truly beautiful happened. On Sunday, 29th June 2025, Api walked for the very first time in his life. From not being able to move at all, to crawling, to walking. It’s been a journey full of small miracles and answered prayers.
What I love most about FHO is how they see and support my son without judgment. They understand that he’s developing at his own pace, and never label him as “abnormal,” unlike the way society sometimes does. Instead, they meet us with compassion, understanding, and dignity.
As a mother, the support I’ve received from FHO has been life-changing, not only for me but for my own mother as well. Their guidance has empowered us to care for Api in the best way possible. FHO has truly become our second home, a place where my son is fully accepted, celebrated, and loved.
